Why does MSNBC, Fox, etc ask Bachmann if she's a flake instead of her stance on issues?

Ok. You can believe she's a flake or not, but why can't we hear her positions on all the problems facing the country from the media that is supposed to ask the hard questions instead of providing fodder for Jon Stewart. It's the same BS every election, The media bawls about insignificant things & polls & we never hear about issues.
