Low cat stance at the end of Hangetsu Shotokan Kata?
I have practiced Shotokan with SKI for 16 yrs and as far as i am aware the low stance is essential for the interpretation of the movement, as the knee is also performing a block. I answer this question because at the time of the video we were JKA, before the split. Just another point to make.... since this is the first serious martial arts question i have come across for some time on this forum, ain't it funny how no one else has answered yet. Seems to me that theres a serious misunderstanding of the traditional arts, or maybe theyre all right and we should hang up our Gi's and switch to MMA - the 'fast food' of the martial arts. Good video link by the way.
