I came across this verse in Quran, any interpretation? That was kind of schocking to me?

However friendly it wants to appear, the goal of Islam is the eradication of all other beliefs and ideas. So naturally it would want its people to be hostile towards the closest competing religions, Christianity and Judaism, especially since they are all technically following the same god.
